Looking HOT and COOL this SUMMER!!!

Summer is here and the fashion magazines are out with brand new trends for summer fashion. Summers are when we can try a brand new look and renovate our clothes, accessories and make-up completely. So, here are a few tips to look sultry and cool this summer:

Get in shape

Before following any fashion trends or buying an expensive beach wear, try to shed any extra kilos you have. Join a gym and get an expert dietitian advice to get a good sleek figure.

This also applies to people who are already fit because even after attaining a certain look, one needs to maintain it. A sleek body can carry any fashion with ease. However, it doesn’t mean that one has to starve oneself.

Experiment with latest fashion wear

One’s your target physique is achieved, go to the nearby mall or a designer boutique. Keep your budget in mind here. While selecting outfits, one should understand that wearing skimpy clothes doesn’t always highlight a sexy look.

One can look attractive in a smart T-shirt and shorts too. The clothes we buy should reflect our personality and also give us the necessary comfort. Try some experimentation. For example, try out harem pants with a short sleeved cotton top.

Choose colors with care. For example, if your top is bright colored, flatter it with a pale and frilly mid-length skirt.

Even while buying a bikini, it is wise to pick keeping in mind one’s figure and style.

Make-up tips this summer

When it comes to summer make-up, always keep the outside temperature in mind. One does not look great by simply applying cakes of foundation and compact. Try a natural look; apply a thin veil of translucent powder.

Consult a make-up expert to choose the right eye shade. When it comes to lipsticks and nail colors, one can try something among the blazing red shades with a little bit of metallic gloss. Use mascara instead of a liner.

Accessories

Summers are incomplete without sunglasses. Generally, jumbo framed sunglasses do the trick for summer and they look stylish too. Take a hat and match it with your handbag. For example, if one is wearing a round straw hat then one can take a stripped straw hand bag to compliment it.

There is a lot of scope for research to achieve that sexy summer look. So go ahead and start your summer makeover.

2. Lock Windows to protect computer
You can lock Windows to protect the computer when leaving the station easily by creating a shortcut with the path rundll32.exeuser32.dll, LockWorkStation. The Windows key + L is also a shortcut to this feature.

3. Edit sysoc.inf to list all software
To show all software that can be removed from your computer (including protected Windows services), you can manually edit (using notepad for example) the sysoc.inf file located in Windows\inf\. Just remove the word hide next to the software pack.
*Note* - use this at your own risk. Removing critical components of the system will make Windows instable.

4. Windows XP comes with IPv4 and IPv6
Windows XP comes both IPv4 and IPv6 support. To enable IPv6, you can install the protocols needed with the command "ipv6 install" in the command-prompt. Then type ipv6 /? to see the options. The installation will not remove the IPv4 protocols so your current configuration will still work.

5. Access Task Manager with shortcut
To access the Task Manager easier, you can make a shortcut that points to %windir%\system32\taskmgr.exe.

6. Stop treating ZIP files like Folders
If you don't want your Windows XP to treat ZIP files like folders, you can disable this component by running regsvr32 /u zipfldr.dll at the command prompt or Run dialog. If you start missing it, you can enable it by typing regsvr32 zipfldr.dll.

7. Run program as diffrent user
You can run a program as a different user. Right click an application and select Run As command.

8. Switch users leaving applications opened
You can switch users leaving the applications opened too (*NOTE* use this only when needed since it could lead to system instability).
Go to Task Manager - processes and end the process explorer.exe. This will end only your session and not all applications. Then go to Applications tab, click New task and type runas /user:domainname\username explorer.exe. A password prompt will appear to login to the desired username. The user's session will start, with all your previously applications running.
I recommend to open first a command-line prompt and type runas /? to see all the options available.

9. Rename multiple files in Windows at once
Rename multiple files in Windows at once. Select them all, right click and select Rename. Enter the desired name. They will be renamed using what you specified, with a number in brackets to distinguish them.

10. Task kill feature in Windows
Windows has a task kill feature similar to Linux. Go to a command prompt and run the command tasklist to see running processes with PID numbers. Then type tskill to end the specific task. This forces an instant closing of the task.

11. Edit features with GPEDIT.MSC
You can edit many features by running gpedit.msc. You can add log on/log off scripts here and many features.

12. Edit accounts in the command prompt
You can edit accounts by running "control userpasswords2" at the command prompt.

13. Use systeminfo.exe to see System Information
You can use the systeminfo.exe command in the command prompt to see System Information, including all Windows updates and hotfixes.

14. Disable system services for maximum performance
There are system services that you can disable to free up the system's load. To access the interface that permits you to make changes to system's services, type services.msc and the command prompt.
This is a list of services that are *usually* useless and can be safely disabled.
Alerter
Application Layer Gateway Service,
Application Management
Automatic Updates
Background Intelligent Transfer
Clipbook
Distributed Link Tracking Client
Distributed Transaction Coordinater
Error Reporting Service
Fast User Switching Compatibility
IMAPI CD-Burning
Indexing Service
IPSEC Services
Messenger
Net Logon
Net Meeting
Remote Desktop Sharing
Network DDE
Network DDE DSDM
Portable Media Serial Number
Remote Desktop Help Session Manager
Remote Registry
Secondary Logon
Smartcard
SSDP Discovery Service
Uninterruptible Power Supply
Universal Plug and Play Device Host
Upload Manager
Webclient
Wireless Zero Configuration
WMI Performance Adaptor

*NOTE*: Make sure you don't need them since some applications you're using could depend on them. If you make any application to fail by disabling any of the services, go back and enable it again.

15. Repair Windows XP by using the XP installation CD
If your system failes to start due to an error related to missing HAL.DLL, invalid Boot.ini or any other critical system boot files you can repair this by using the XP installation CD. Simply boot from your XP Setup CD and enter the Recovery Console. Then run "attrib -H -R -S" on the C:\Boot.ini file and delete it. Run "Bootcfg /Rebuild" and then Fixboot.

Guide in Buying a New Laptop

laptop,new,buy

Laptop computers can't really substitute for desktop computers, but a good laptop can be a solid and convenient supplement to a desktop model.

Step1Check the periodic surveys in top computer magazines for comprehensive information about the reliability of specific laptop brands and customer satisfaction with them. Choose a brand based on quality, price and limited warranty.

Step2Determine the core configuration you need, including processor and speed, amount of RAM, and hard disk size.

Step3Decide on the type of display. Choose a dual-scan display if your budget is extremely limited. Select an active-matrix display for the quickest response and best visual quality (especially under challenging condi-tions), though at the cost of shorter battery life. Choose an HPA (High-Performance Addressing) display if your budget rules out an active-matrix display but you need to use the laptop under challenging lighting and wish to maximize battery life.

Step4Compare weights of units you're considering. Think about how often and how far you'll need to carry the computer and its peripherals.

Step5Determine the size of display you want. Remember that bigger screens add to the unit's price, weight and bulk.

Step6Choose an ultraportable unit if weight is more important than price, reliability, battery life and ease of use.

Step7Buy a unit with built-in CD-ROM and floppy drives if convenience is more important than portability or reliability. Consider a model with removable internal drives for the most flexibility.

Step8Test the comfort and feel of the input device and keyboard. Choose between a touch pad, used by most manufacturers, and the pointing stick (also called the 'command point') used by IBM and Toshiba.

Step9Make sure the laptop comes with a lithium-ion battery. Be skeptical of manufacturers' battery-life claims.

Step10Decide what preinstalled software you want or need.

Step11Choose the length of warranty or service coverage you need.

In the past, a laptop computer was one thing, and a notebook computer was another. Laptops were larger, had more memory and more features, and they weighed more. Over time, though, notebook computers became more and more powerful and capable, so that they came to displace the traditional laptop. These days, most manufacturers have shifted to producing notebooks and not laptops. The public however, still insists on calling that computer they are carrying a laptop. But the trick is deciding which laptop to buy.

How to Get the Best Battery Life From a Laptop Computer

laptop,battery

A rechargeable battery will last an average of two years. You can take steps to get better total battery life and longer battery life per charge.

1. Charge the battery for 12 hours before use.

Step2. Let the battery drain completely before recharging if you have a nickel-cadmium (NiCad) battery. Upgrade to a nickel-metal-hydride (NiMH) battery'or better, a lithium-ion battery'if one is made for your machine.

Step3. Let the battery drain as much as possible before recharging if you have an NiMH battery.

Step4. Recharge an NiMH battery between long periods of inactivity.

Step5. Travel with an extra battery. Use the two batteries equally.

Step6. Avoid running the floppy and CD drives off the battery, if possible.

Step7. Reduce the display's brightness when possible.

Sony Ericsson C903 - Slider-shot

Sony Ericsson C903 - Slider-shot
Sony Ericsson C903 - Slider-shot
Sony Ericsson C903 - Slider-shot

Inspired by the Sony T-series point-and-shoot digcams with an elegant lens cover, the Sony Ericsson C903 is a compact and attractive cameraphone. The C903 is packed with features you'd expect of a high-end phone and it behaves like one as well. A GPS-enabled 5 MP slider with a nice large display, nifty feature-phone interface and friendly size is a welcome addition to the company portfolio. And yes, we think the Glamour Red version will be a favorite with the ladies.

The C903 official announcement served the humble purpose of warming the crowd up for the Sony Ericsson deployment at this year's MWC. Obviously no match for the Idou and Hikaru, the C903 simply completes the Cyber-shot lineup of the house featuring some welcome upgrades over the C902 like screen size and GPS. There's a distinctive design highlight too and the Sony T-series digicam back styling may as well be a strong selling point.

Key features:

  • Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dual-band HSDPA/ tri-band HSDPA in US version
  • 5 MP AF camera with dual LED flash, geo-tagging, face and smile detection, active lens cover
  • Built-in GPS with A-GPS support, Wayfinder Navigator software, geotagging
  • Dedicated camera mode switch and gallery keys
  • Scratch resistant 2.4" 256K-color TFT display
  • Backlit D-pad shortcuts in camera mode
  • Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate
  • Bluetooth (with A2DP), USB v2.0
  • FM radio with RDS and enhanced TrackID, YouTube client
  • Threaded conversations in messaging
  • Smart dialing

Main disadvantages:

  • Video recording limited to QVGA resolution at 30fps
  • M2 card slot under the battery cover
  • Camera key has almost no feedback at full press
  • The glossy surface is a fingerprint nightmare
  • No cover for the USB port
  • No office document viewer
  • No video-call camera

Sony Ericsson C903 has its candybar counterpart in the face of the C901. Presented in a joint launch last month, the two handsets are trying to meet a diverse mix of cameraphone demand in the higher-midrange.

Form factor aside, the major differences boil down to GPS and the camera flash solution. We can't help but note that xenon could've been more at home in the T-series-inspired C903. But no sir, Sony Ericsson C903 is GPS-enabled instead while the more conservative C901 bar flaunts the better camera flash.

The lengthy spec sheet of the C903 only omits Wi-Fi support, while everything else is on board: GPS with Wayfinder 7 software, 5 megapixel AF camera with dedicated setup keys, a large 2.4" display and accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate.

Sport-oriented slider Motorola W7

Motorola W7
Motorola W7
Motorola W7
The sporty slider Motorola W7. It's a pretty weird looking device with its elongated D-pad and rather poor choice of colors. Rumor has it that it will have a QVGA screen and EDGE support. From the leaked photos, it's clear that it will have a 2 megapixel camera with neither flash, nor even a self-portrait mirror.
There are two other keys on the front besides the soft keys and call keys. Presumably, they have some sports-related functionality but it's not clear what exactly right now. It will be nice if it's something in the spirit of Nokia Sports Tracker - an app that uses GPS to track your jogging, running or cycling workouts. Or at least put some goodies in the retail box - an armband for example.

Anyway, no word on release date or pricing yet. We'll keep you posted about that and any changes in the color scheme that may come up.

Nokia 5800 Star Trek edition warms up the UK for the movie

Nokia,5800

As trekkies dust off their costumes and prepare them for the long wait in line for the premiere of J.J. Abrams' reboot, Nokia are offering something to help them accessorize - Nokia 5800 Star Trek edition. It will come preloaded with Trek-related content like a phaser app, which will definitely help fend of people with lightsabre applications.

The Nokia 5800 Star Trek edition will be available in the usual color versions - red, blue and black/silver. Remember now, red uniforms are for tactical/engineering, blue are for science officers and silver… Okay, here our treknoledge betrays us.

Other content that will come preloaded with the Nokia 5800 Star Trek edition includes Trek wallpapers, screensavers and exclusive ringtones including "Phazer Shot", "Red Alert" and "Kelvin Communicator".

Nokia 5800 Star Trek edition will be available in the UK starting May 1st for free with a 25-pounds-a-month contract with either Vodafone, O2, T-Mobile or Orange. It's just in time for the movie, which opens on the 8th of May.

Another interesting 5800-related piece of news today is that the phone will launch with Nokia's Comes With Music service in Brazil. During the first month after the launch, it will be available only through Brazilian operator TIM.

There's heavy accent placed on Brazilian artists with several domestic labels signed up to deliver content. The phone will be offered for 399 Brazil reais (181 US dollars) with an unlimited data plan. Some promotion-related perks offered by TIM include two months of free download of content and free access to the Internet and email.

Nokia 5800 Comes With Music is available in Brazilian stores starting today and everyone who preordered from the online store should get theirs by the end of the week.

Crazy Kart Hack And Cheats

Crazy Kart Hack And CheatsThis new Crazy Kart online game has made many gamers go crazy on racing there Karts online. Young and even adults are now enjoying the race on different stages and racing circuits. I got involve on it too and got some tips for you guys on how to play better and outrun the others during the race. Now for those who are looking for cheats and hacks for this game, I've read one post that he had cheated and increase its gold and cash to its desire but unfortunately this doesn't work to everyone especially now that the games are updated. Anyways if there will be any updates for cheats and hacks of this game, I may post them up here but please do keep in mind that I do not encourage you guys to alter or cheat on the game. It is always nice to play fair and square.

Well guys here are some tips:

1. During the race refrain from getting bump or hit any obstacles so not to increase kart damage and will slow down Kart.

2. Its always very important to familiarize or even memorize the racing map most especially when you have master all the shortcuts. Having this in mind will always be an advantage for you but if your opponent have much better speed and have memorize the map very well too then this will be hard for you eventhough you have perfectly run the circuit. But in power up games you'll have a huge chance to win the race.

3. Another way to take advantage during the race is to master Kart Drifting. I say this because during the race every seconds counts to win the race and that a perfect kart drift plays very crucial on hard turns.

4. In power ups race, it is always a wise idea to save a STAR, a special protection power from any thing your opponent will throw at you but keep in mind that it only last for a few seconds, so using this one needs perfect timing during the last lap. Best to use a few seconds before you reach the finish line or use this whenever you're alerted if someone fires one boogie, yet you need to perfectly execute it.

5. If you are racing on power ups and that you come second on the last lap make sure to save Rocket or Nitro. Again timing plays very important rule, launch the rocket just before a few seconds your opponent hits the finish line and then speed up with your nitro to win the race.

6. Well like any racing car, your Kart can be on special type which means there are karts that might not work well during drifting so try rides thats best on it. Rover and the Beetle might be best for you.

7. If you have rocket, star and come out first on the last lap, you better slow down a little bit and let the second racer step a few miliseconds ahead at you. Now just before his kart reaches the finish line blast him with your rocket. As you know anyone who leads the race on power up games has a great chance to lose the game, so its a wise idea not to lead during power up games.

8. Always maintain your speed to upto 140 or more so not to get left behind and get nitro filled up as well.

9. Upgrading your Karts, ofcourse the more you spend for your accessories will surely make your Kart do better during the race.

10. Before I forget to mention, it would be wiser if you could have switch card. You may find this very useful during the race.

KART CHEATS and HACKS:

As of now I haven't find any working hack for Crazy Kart. The one they mention about Cheat Engine seems not to work when I tried playing around with it. Supposedly it should display data on Address and Memory in order to work but unfortunately none of this really show up. So guys, if you want to get updated you can subscribe.
JUST SUBSCRIBE IN THIS POST AND I WILL SEND THE CRAZY KART HACK INTO YOUR EMAIL IF I FOUND ONE WORKING HACK

Swine flue virus outbreak

Swine flue virus outbreak"Swine Flu Virus"
The World Health Organization raised its global alert level on the spreading swine flu virus Monday, but stopped short of declaring a global emergency — even as the U.S. said it was acting as if the outbreak would grow into a full pandemic.

The United States advised Americans against most travel to Mexico and ordered stepped up border checks in neighboring states. The European Union health commissioner advised Europeans to avoid nonessential travel both to Mexico and parts of the United States.

The suspected number of deaths rose to 149 in Mexico, the epicenter of the outbreak with nearly 2,000 people believed to be infected.

The number of U.S. cases doubled to 40, the result of further testing at a New York City school, although none was fatal. Other U.S. cases have been reported in Ohio, Kansas, Texas and California. Worldwide there were 73 cases, including six in Canada, one in Spain and two in Scotland.

While the total cases were still measured in hundreds, not thousands, Mexican Health Secretary Jose Angel Cordova said the epidemic was entering an extremely dangerous phase, with the number of people coming down with the disease mushrooming even as authorities desperately ramped up defenses.

"We are in the most critical moment of the epidemic. The number of cases will keep rising, so we have to reinforce preventative measures," Cordova said at a news conference.

The WHO raised the alert level to Phase 4, meaning there is sustained human-to-human transmission of the virus causing outbreaks in at least one country.

Hottest Summer Trends '09

Hottest Summer Trends '09

Summers always mark a time for fun, letting loose, relaxing, and of course, experimenting with the hottest summer trends. This summer is no different! The hottest trends are letting lose and you won’t want to miss them! Of course, just because something is in fashion does not mean you should wear it. Before taking out your money and buying, make sure those styles complement your figure and that you feel comfortable in them. And you can always be a little creative and add some of your very own personal touches! But nevertheless, I always have to know what’s in and what’s out, even though I might not always like the new fashions.

TEXTURE

Texture is in of course. We’ve seen a lot of textured pieces this past spring, and it will thrive on into the summer. Textured styles are a little harder to wear, but doable. If you choose a texture top for example, make sure your bottoms are fitted. Personally, I don’t like the way textured pieces look on me, but I did find a really cute emerald green puffy sleeve top that I absolutely love. But don’t worry, if you don’t feel comfortable wearing this style, it’s no big deal- this summer is full of other enticing style that you’ll love, I promise!

BOLD ACCESSORIES

It’s all about making that big impression this summer, so make sure you stock up on statement-making accessories. Bold, colorful, and unique are the key words here. Whatever strikes your mood is up for grabs. So if you’re feeling bland, add a bold pair of shoes to your outfit, or a colorful clutch.

THE MONOKINI

In case you didn’t know, a monokini is a spandex cut-out swimsuit. If you want to stand out at the beach this summer, this should definitely be at the top of your list. What’s great about the monokini is that although it is a one piece, it is way sexier than the old two-piece bikini. It shows off all the right stuff, and hides the stuff you don’t want anybody to see! Check out these hot monokinis from Victoria’s Secret!

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  SHORT SHORTS

Yes, as always short shorts are always a big thing, especially this summer. Even though short shorts might not look right on all body types, you can still get the look by balancing out your outfit; wear a flowy top and flats or wedges with your shorts.

I absolutely love tunics; you just can’t go wrong with them! They look great during those hot summer days at the beach and they’re very versatile. Throw one over your swimsuit, or use it as a top. You can even wear it as a dress — just add a thick belt at the waist and you’re good to go!

Kalanggaman Island - Palompon, Leyte

Kalanggaman is a small island paradise with a land area of about two hectares situated between north of Cebu and Leyte. Belonging to the town of Palompon, Leyte, it is about an hour ride by boat either from Palompon or Villaba,Leyte. What makes this island unique is that it has two sand bars , one which protrudes towards the east and the other at the southern end. The eastern sand bar stretches for more than 200 meters into the sea, while the other one is only half as long which is submerged under water during high tides.
